INFO:@Canva Quick Tip 01 - Image quality Why are your raster (JPGu002FPNG) images downloading blurred or pixelated? There are many reasons for bad quality downloaded images from Canva. Here are the most common and what you can do about it. 1. Your original image or photo is low quality, e.g. a screen shot, an image from WhatsApp, or a photo taken on your phone at low resolution. The solution is to acquire the original image or take a new photo using a device where the camera is set to HD. 2. You’re viewing your downloaded graphic at a bigger size than the graphic is intended for. e.g. You’re viewing an Instagram post graphic on a large desktop screen. This will cause it to look pixelated on the screen, but not on Instagram when viewed on a phone, where it’s supposed to be viewed. Reduce the image down to the actual size it will be viewed at to see if it still pixelates. 3. You’ve used solid colors in your design: solid reds, magentas, blues don’t translate well to raster graphics and will look pixelated even if they are high quality images. Instead of using solid areas of color, use lighter colors or gradients instead. Bonus tip: JPG and PNG images downloaded from a phone will be lower resolution than if they’re downloaded using the desktop version of Canva. This is to save your mobile bandwidth and phone memory. For high quality end-files rather use the desktop version for downloading files. Have you had or are you having problems downloading quality images from Canva.
